Betting Odds on Sixgame – Read, Compare & Find Real Value in Pakistan

Understanding how betting odds actually work is the difference between placing smart bets and just guessing. On sixgame, odds are displayed in the format that makes most sense to you — decimal by default, with fractional and moneyline available. This guide covers exactly what the numbers mean, how to calculate your potential return before you bet, and how to spot genuine value in the market rather than just backing whoever looks like the favourite.

How Betting Odds Work – Formats Explained

Three formats, one concept. Sixgame defaults to decimal odds because they are the clearest — but all three are available in your settings.

Decimal Odds — The Clearest Format

This is what sixgame uses by default, and once you understand it there is really no reason to switch. The decimal number represents your total return per Rs 1 staked — including your original stake.

Formula: Winnings = Stake × Decimal Odds

  • Odds of 2.00 = even money — you double your stake if you win
  • Odds below 2.00 = favourite (e.g. 1.65 means you win Rs 65 profit on every Rs 100 staked)
  • Odds above 2.00 = underdog (e.g. 3.50 means you win Rs 250 profit on every Rs 100 staked)
  • Rs 1,000 on 2.50 odds = Rs 2,500 total return (Rs 1,500 profit)

This format is standard across most of Asia and Europe, and sixgame recommends it for all Pakistani bettors because the calculation is instant — multiply your stake by the number and that is what you get back if you win.

1.65
Strong Favourite
2.00
Even Money
2.75
Mild Underdog
5.50
Clear Underdog

Quick example: Rs 2,000 on Lahore Qalandars at 1.85 = Rs 3,700 total return = Rs 1,700 profit.

Fractional Odds — Traditional British Format

Fractional odds are written as two numbers separated by a slash — like 5/2 or 1/3. They show your profit only, not the total return including your stake.

Formula: Profit = Stake × (Numerator ÷ Denominator)

  • 5/2 — for every Rs 2 you stake, you profit Rs 5 (plus Rs 2 stake back = Rs 7 total)
  • 1/1 (Evens) — you profit exactly your stake amount
  • 1/3 — for every Rs 3 staked, you profit Rs 1 (tight favourite)
  • Fractional odds of 5/2 = decimal odds of 3.50 — same value, different notation

On sixgame you can switch your odds display to fractional format in your account preferences. Most Pakistani bettors find decimal easier day-to-day but fractional is useful for quick mental comparisons.

1/3
Strong Favourite
1/1
Even Money
7/4
Mild Underdog
9/2
Clear Underdog

Quick example: Rs 1,000 on 7/4 = Rs 1,750 profit + Rs 1,000 stake = Rs 2,750 total return.

Moneyline Odds — American Format

Moneyline odds use positive and negative numbers based on a Rs 100 unit. Positive numbers show profit on a Rs 100 stake; negative numbers show how much you need to stake to profit Rs 100.

Formula: Positive: Profit = Stake × (Moneyline ÷ 100) | Negative: Profit = Stake × (100 ÷ |Moneyline|)

  • +250 — Rs 100 stake profits Rs 250 (underdog, decimal equiv: 3.50)
  • +100 — even money, Rs 100 stake profits Rs 100
  • -150 — stake Rs 150 to profit Rs 100 (favourite, decimal equiv: 1.67)
  • -300 — stake Rs 300 to profit Rs 100 (heavy favourite, decimal: 1.33)

Moneyline format is common in American sports betting and some international platforms. Sixgame supports it, but decimal is simpler for everyday use in Pakistan. You can change your preferred format any time in your profile settings.

-300
Strong Favourite
+100
Even Money
+175
Mild Underdog
+450
Clear Underdog

Quick example: Rs 1,000 on +250 = Rs 2,500 profit + Rs 1,000 stake = Rs 3,500 total return.

Making Sense of Odds – A Practical Guide for Pakistani Bettors

Most people who start betting online know roughly what odds are — the bigger the number, the more money you win, the smaller the number, the safer the bet. But that surface-level understanding leaves a lot of value on the table. The bettors who consistently do well on sixgame are the ones who treat odds not just as a reflection of potential return, but as a statement of probability that can be agreed with, disagreed with, or used strategically.

Implied Probability — The Number Behind the Number

Every set of decimal odds contains an implied probability. The calculation is simple: divide 1 by the odds. Odds of 2.00 imply a 50% probability of that outcome occurring. Odds of 1.50 imply a 66.7% probability. Odds of 4.00 imply 25%. This is important because it tells you what the market — based on all available information — thinks the chances of something happening actually are.

When you find yourself disagreeing with that implied probability based on your own knowledge, that is where value betting begins. If you believe Pakistan's chances of winning a match are 60%, but sixgame's odds of 2.10 imply only a 47.6% chance, the market is giving you better value than your own assessment suggests. That gap between your estimated probability and the implied probability is called the edge — and consistently finding edges is how serious bettors profit over time on any platform including sixgame.

The Bookmaker Margin — Understanding the Overround

Here is something most beginner bettors on sixgame do not immediately realise: if you add up the implied probabilities of all outcomes in a market, the total will be slightly above 100%. That excess percentage is called the overround or bookmaker margin — it is how the house maintains a mathematical edge regardless of which outcome wins. For example, in a two-outcome market where both teams are priced at 1.90, the implied probability of each is 52.6%, which adds up to 105.2%. That 5.2% is the margin.

Sixgame keeps its margins competitive — typically between 3% and 6% on main markets, which is at the lower end of what you will find across online betting platforms. Lower margin means better odds for you as a bettor. PSL match winner markets tend to have particularly tight margins on sixgame because cricket is the primary sport and the team works hard to price these markets accurately and competitively.

Line Movement — Why Odds Change Before a Match

If you check PSL odds on sixgame 48 hours before a match and then again 30 minutes before the toss, you will often see they have changed. This is completely normal and happens for several reasons. Player injury or availability news is the most common cause — if a key PSL player is ruled out an hour before the game, the odds on their team will lengthen almost immediately. Heavy betting action on one side of the market also causes lines to move as the platform adjusts to balance exposure. Weather forecasts, pitch reports and toss results all trigger immediate odds adjustments.

Watching line movement on sixgame can be genuinely informative. If the odds on a team shorten sharply without any obvious public news, it often means sharp bettors — people with strong information or analytical models — have placed significant money on that team. That is not a guaranteed signal to follow, but it is worth noting. Similarly, if odds drift longer despite no obvious news, it suggests the market has absorbed cautious money going the other way.

Handicap and Asian Handicap Betting

Standard match winner odds are just one way to bet on a sporting event on sixgame. Handicap markets give one team a virtual head start or deficit before the event begins, which creates more balanced odds and often better value. In cricket, a runs handicap might read "Lahore Qalandars -12.5 runs" — meaning for your Lahore bet to win, they need to beat the total by more than 12.5 runs. This type of market creates genuine value opportunities because the handicap number itself can be mispriced by the market.

Asian handicap betting is particularly popular in football markets on sixgame — it eliminates the draw outcome from the equation, giving you a straight two-way bet with a head start or deficit attached. If you have a strong opinion about the margin of victory rather than just the winner, handicap markets are where that opinion can be best expressed and rewarded.

Accumulator Bets — Higher Risk, Much Higher Reward

An accumulator (or "acca") on sixgame lets you combine multiple selections into one bet. All selections must win for the accumulator to pay out, but the odds of each selection are multiplied together — so three selections at 2.00 each would give combined odds of 8.00, turning a Rs 1,000 stake into Rs 8,000. This exponential growth of potential return is what makes accas popular.

The catch is that the more selections you add, the harder it is to win. A four-leg accumulator where each selection has a 50% chance of winning has only a 6.25% overall chance of paying out. That said, accas do come in — and when they do on sixgame, the payout can be substantial even from a modest stake. The key is keeping accumulators as an occasional treat rather than a primary betting strategy, and only combining selections you have genuinely analysed rather than padding the slip to make the odds look impressive.

Responsible Betting and the Importance of Bankroll Management

Every serious bettor on sixgame will tell you that managing your bankroll is as important as any other skill. The standard recommendation is to never stake more than 2–5% of your total betting budget on a single bet — this ensures that a losing run, which will inevitably happen to everyone, does not deplete your funds before your edge has a chance to play out. Flat staking — betting the same amount regardless of confidence level — is simpler and more consistent than trying to size bets by how confident you feel, which tends to lead to overcommitting on emotional picks.

Sixgame provides deposit limits, loss limits and cool-off periods precisely to help bettors maintain discipline. Setting a weekly deposit limit before the PSL season begins, for example, caps your maximum possible loss for the week regardless of what happens at the tables. These tools are free to use and take only seconds to set up. For more information on all the responsible gaming tools available, visit the Responsible Gaming page.
